UHY Advisors NY, Inc. today announced that Warren Zafrin has joined the firm as a partner and leader of the Risk Advisory Services Group. Along with Zafrin the firm has hired Lauren Jarvis as a principal in the group. They are both based in New York.
Zafrin has over two decades of experience, including advising C-suite executives and management teams at multinational organizations regarding cybersecurity, technology infrastructure, block chain, financial crime prevention and cloud infrastructure.
Jarvis has over a decade of experience as an adviser to multibillion-dollar global organizations, working with executive management and C-suites on the design, development and implementation of enterprise-wide risk management programs.

Prior to UHY, Zafrin worked as a vice president at Booz Allen Hamilton, as an executive advisor to a data science consultancy, and previously was a Partner at a Big Four accounting firm, where he was a member of the Financial Services Technology leadership team. He also held various technology-related roles at several different global consulting firms.
Zafrin earned his B.A. in economics at New York University. He holds an M.P.A. in Finance and Financial Services from New York University’s Wagner School of Public Policy and an M.B.A, C.I.S., from Baruch Zicklin School of Business.
Zafrin is a frequent lecturer on the topics of using emerging technology to combat cybercrime, money laundering, financial fraud and business resilience.
Prior to UHY, Jarvis served as Chief of Staff for a Big Four accounting firm’s Cyber Risk Services platform leader and was entrusted with the development of the firm’s global cyber risk strategy. She has advised complex global organizations in the design, development and effective execution of comprehensive data privacy programs. Jarvis has also worked to ensure compliance with U.S. and international data privacy regulations, enabling General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) readiness and designing policies and procedures.
Jarvis holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A from St. John’s University.
