The Marijuana Regulatory Agency announced recently that anyone older than 21 could legally buy cannabis products on December 1, a month earlier than expected. However, only those locations, currently selling medical marijuana, would be eligible for recreational licenses to allow them to start selling so soon . In addition, sales wouldn't be legal everywhere with many communities opting out, including the city of Detroit which has opted to delay recreational sales until early 2020.
