UHY ADVISORS APPOINTS FIVE NEW MANAGING DIRECTORS

UHY Advisors, Inc. (“UHY Advisors”), one of the nation’s leading professional services firms, announced the appointment of five new managing directors: Michelle Felmlee, Brent Jones, Chad Kime, Jill Starrs and Todd Tigges.

Michelle Felmlee is a managing director of UHY Advisors MI, Inc. and partner of UHY LLP. Felmlee specializes in providing audit and review services for both public and privately owned companies, including reporting on internal controls. She is responsible for implementing new accounting standards and appropriate application of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements across a diverse client base. Felmlee received her B.B.A. in Accounting from Western Michigan University and M.B.A. from Walsh College. She is a licensed CPA in the state of Michigan.

Brent Jones is a managing director of UHY Advisors MI, Inc. and partner of UHY LLP. Jones built his practice in serving the manufacturing, franchise and transportation industries. He works closely with business owners to protect their assets and is also instrumental in the development and implementation of strategic turnaround plans and securing financing for growth and buy/sell opportunities. Jones performs year-end tax planning, tax compliance, financial statement, audit preparation and reviews and compilation services. He received his B.A. in Accounting from Michigan State University and M.B.A. in Tax from Wayne State University. Jones is a licensed CPA in the state of Michigan.

Chad Kime is a managing director of UHY Advisors MI, Inc. and partner of UHY LLP. Kime is a leading member of the Enterprise Business Services team where he provides financial reporting, tax and advisory services to his clients. He creates innovative business plans for business owners, implements estate and succession plans that allow for flexibility and maximize wealth retention, and assists business owners throughout the process of a purchase, sale or merger. Kime specializes in freeing capital to allow businesses to meet growth strategies and financial and business management strategies with an emphasis on turnaround and strategic planning. He received his B.S. in Accounting from Northwood University and is a licensed CPA in the state of Michigan.

Jill Starrs is a managing director of UHY Advisors MO, Inc. and partner of UHY LLP. Starrs provides attest and consulting services to privately owned companies. She is a subject matter expert on reporting under International Financial Reporting Standards and works with real estate companies and private equity real estate funds, transportation, and other service companies. She partners with her clients as a true advisor to anticipate business risks and provide financial strategies to manage those risks. She received her B.S. in Accounting from Virginia Tech and is a licensed CPA in the state of Missouri.

Todd Tigges is a managing director of UHY Advisors MI, Inc. and partner of UHY LLP. Tigges possesses extensive knowledge related to tax compliance issues, federal, state and local tax planning, and works with clients that have multiple related entities, all structured to minimize tax liability and preserve wealth. He serves middle-market clients in a wide range of industries with an emphasis on staffing, health care and real estate companies. Tigges was instrumental in addressing concerns surrounding the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and he serves as the firm’s resident authority for matters concerning the Affordable Care Act. He received his B.A. in Accounting from Western Michigan University and is a licensed CPA in the states of Michigan and Ohio.
