Executive Briefing, a monthly presentation series hosted by UHY, explores topics that foster personal and business growth. May's topic was DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION: Smart companies wisely investing in both operational excellence and innovation excellence to achieve meaningful growth through digital transformation.
Operationally, digital transformation fuels continuous improvement by increasing automation and enhancing business processes. Digital transformation through innovation creates value through new user experiences for existing and future stakeholders, which emerge from a process called Human-Centered Design (HCD or Design Thinking). When both prongs – operational excellence and innovation excellence – are applied to a clear vision, strategy, and company core values, faster acceleration and growth can be expected.
“Operational excellence secures the present, innovation excellence secures the future” - Roger Milliken, Former Chairman and CEO, Milliken & Company
