LONI WINKLER RECOGNIZED BY TECHSERVE "EXCELLENCE IN THE NEW NORMAL" AWARDS

Loni Winkler, principal in UHY LLP’s National Staffing Industry Practice, has played an instrumental role in advising staffing companies during the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, the average staffing company has outgrown the typical accountant and has developed the need for a CPA firm to have a deep industry focus.

Loni has anticipated and responded quickly to the needs of our staffing clients during the COVID-19 pandemic. She has provided solutions that have given staffing companies comfort during these unprecedented times.

During this pandemic, Loni helped staffing companies adapt and evolve their respective business models for long-term survival by helping them manage risk, identifying tax saving opportunities, and guiding them through the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and CARES Act. From the PPP loan forgiveness process, including required documentation and best practices, to mechanics on how the forgiveness works, Loni has played a vital role in helping staffing companies through these challenging times.

Loni was quick to identify and address change, accounting requirements, and regulations to provide assistance for companies in the staffing industry. Loni was a featured presenter during many webinars on the PPP and CARES Act at leading staffing industry associations such as TechServe Alliance, TRICOM, and the Illinois Search & Staffing Association.

Loni has helped staffing companies take the time to understand the scope of economic support programs available for assistance, as well as the conditions and reporting obligations that followed. She also played a critical role in understanding the state of this pandemic and how staffing companies operate in this “new normal” by providing the foundation of continued support for long-term success.
