State regulators have finished phasing out all medical marijuana caregivers from the retail cannabis supply chain. This leaves the sole responsibility of retail cannabis production in Michigan on the shoulders of licensed growers. Cannabis produced by licensed plants has grown from approximately 110,000 to 424,000 since January. Caregivers will still be allowed to operate on behalf of registered patients but are no longer permitted to sell excess inventory to retailers.
The cannabis industry continues to grow in Michigan as recreational sale continues to move in on medical cannabis sales. We have a dedicated team of experienced cannabis accounting professionals who can help guide your entrance into this budding industry. Call 248 609 1610.
