Economic Experts: Brighter Days Ahead

Tom Alongi, national manufacturing practice leader joined a panel of economic experts to discuss the economic outlook regionally and beyond with one resounding thought; “brighter days ahead. “Macomb County is in the midst of an exciting era for manufacturing — not only in terms of electric car start ups, but also in the aerospace industry,” he said.

When addressing the labor shortage, Alongi said, “The shrinking workforce is not good. ART is they key to the future. Companies must attract new talent, retain them and train them.”

He continued, “places like California, Colorado and Texas have always been the go-to places for young professionals graduating and looking to start their career in high tech fields but they need to know about Macomb County. There’s a lot of money here and I don’t think a lot of young people know that. We need to get the word out.
