The State of Michigan has launched another round of COVID-19 relief funding, this time specifically for businesses with 250 employees or less. This reimbursement program applies to all purchases after January 1, 2021. The grant requires a matching component of 50%, with matching funds up to $10,000. Eligible purchases include:
Applications will be accepted through June 18 as long as funds remain. To qualify, employers must have 250 employees or less, be under MIOSHA jurisdiction, relate the project directly to improvements that will lead to a reduction in the risk of COVID-19 exposure to employees and communities, and have the knowledge, experience and resources to complete the project. Employers that are awarded the grant will be notified by email, and must provide a copy of their COVID-19 safety plan.
