UPGRADING BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION WITH ROBOTIC PROCESS AUTOMATION

Companies are implementing robotic process automation (RPA) as a new, cost-effective way to streamline HR activities, including benefits administration. Even if a company chooses to outsource the work, some of the widely used HR service providers already use RPA technology on these traditionally manual processes.

Stacy Farber, a Principal in UHY's Northeast Region, says RPA offers increased accuracy and the reduction of errors. Automation of communications between the various parties involved--including companies, service providers, trustees, employees and other stakeholders--there is less chance for errors to occur between handoffs, she noted.
