Cornell has provided a range of pre and post M&A services, including but not limited to due diligence, financial analysis, cash flow modeling, contract negotiation support, vendor negotiation and capital raise efforts and developing and executing pre and post-close integration plans.
In addition, Cornell joins UHY’s ESG Leadership Committee, to help UHY develop and implement accounting and advisory services to support clients’ needs.
Long Island's Office Managing Partner, Mehmet Sengulen, commented, “We are thrilled to have John come on board as a Principal in our Long Island office as part of our M&A practice and as a member of our ESG Leadership Committee. Demand for M&A services and ESG expertise has only continued to grow in the past year, with companies adjusting to and preparing for the current economic climate, and potential ESG regulatory requirements. John’s depth as well as range of M&A experience at every stage of the cycle – from pre- to post- M&A to M&A integration – and in-depth knowledge of the ESG space will only help bolster the services we are able to provide clients and ensure we can wholly meet their needs in the coming years.”
Cornell commented, "I am delighted to be joining UHY, its M&A practice and the team in Melville. UHY’s depth of expertise in the mid-market, alongside the growth its M&A practice is experiencing, makes it one of the most exciting organizations in the accounting industry today. I’m also honored to be part of the company’s ESG leadership at such a crucial time, developing solutions to help clients pivot quickly to meet additional regulatory requirements.”
John received his bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the Villanova School of Business. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA).
