John Cornell is a Principal in UHY’s M&A practice where he specializes in providing buy-side and sell-side advisory services to private equity and strategic clients. He is a CPA with over 16 years of diverse leadership experience as both an advisor and an operator.
John has advised and worked for both public and private companies spanning a multitude of industries, of different size and scale and at various stages of their life cycle. He is a prior Big Four auditor and due diligence professional, a former Chief Financial Officer, a former General Manager at a leading PE backed carbon accounting SaaS business and a former SVP of M&A integration where he led cross-functional integration efforts, which included planning, implementing and managing financial and operational activities related to the integration of acquired businesses. John’s experience includes a range of pre- and post-M&A services, including but not limited to due diligence, financial analysis, cash flow modeling, contract negotiation support, vendor negotiation, capital raise efforts and developing and executing pre and post-close integration plans.
John is also a member of UHY’s ESG Leadership Committee whose focus is developing and deploying services to enable clients to tackle needs arising from the ever-changing regulatory landscape.
