CEO Action Pledge
In 2020, our CEO, Steven McCarty, signed the CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion™ pledge to reaffirm our commitment to building a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace that allows people to bring their best selves to work and unleash their full potential. As part of our pledge, we will:
- Cultivate environments that support open dialogue on complex, and sometimes difficult, conversations about diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Implement and expand unconscious bias education and training.
- Share best known - and unsuccessful - diversity, equity and inclusion programs and initiatives among signatories so we all can learn from each other.
- Engage boards of directors (or equivalent governing bodies) in the development and evaluation of inclusion and diversity strategies.
CEO Action, founded in 2017, is the largest business-led initiative to advance DEI in the workplace, with more than 2,500 CEOs having pledged to create more inclusive cultures while not being afraid of having difficult conversations about diversity, equity and inclusion.

As an active member of our community, we have always prioritized supporting our local organizations. We also recognize the value of supporting a more diverse variety of causes that adequately represent our staff and our clients.
Through UHY Cares, we leverage our existing human capital and volunteer opportunities towards organizations and programs championing diversity, equity, and inclusion.

It’s not enough to “meet the requirements.” We are establishing more strategic ways to make our colleagues feel valued and encouraged, no matter their background.
