Read MoreUHY Advisors Mid-Atlantic, Inc. proudly announces the renewed appointment of consulting senior manager Claire Collins to the National Association of Rural Counties (NACo)’s 2024 Rural Action Caucus (RAC). Appointed by new NACo president James Gore, Collins received a coveted membership renewal after a successful run with RAC over the past 12 months.
RAC is NACo’s organizational wing, committed to solutions for federal, state, and local matters across rural America. Representing America’s rural counties, which comprise nearly 70 percent of our national total, the RAC advocates for rural community interests in Washington, DC, and collaborates with county officials to enhance rural economic development.
Collins has over 30 years of hands-on professional experience in the private, nonprofit, and public sectors. Her skills and experience include executive-level program and project management and policy development, analysis and implementation, grants administration and coordination, and federal, state, and local government service delivery.
“It is truly an honor to once again be appointed to NACo’s Rural Action Caucus, serving the interest of America’s rural counties,” said Collins. “Following a successful first year with the RAC, I am galvanized to collaborate with fellow members, working towards a stronger economy for America’s rural counties.”
“Claire is an immensely talented presence at our firm, and based on their decision to renew her appointment, it’s clear that NACo sees this as well,” said Harold Mohn, Mid-Atlantic Regional Managing Director. “America’s rural counties are well-served by Claire’s insights, and she will undoubtedly shine for the caucus once again.”
Collins has a proven record of advising state and local government clients on critical economic legislation, including CARES and ARPA. Her RAC appointment renewal will help her expand on this work for clients, governments, and the broader rural community.
