Innovation was the common theme for panelists that joined the Chamber Alliance of Macomb County for their Economic Forecast Friday. Tom Alongi, the national manufacturing practice leader, stressed the county's need to prepare for the electric vehicle industry.
Manufacturing is one of the county's key industries, but the rapid changes overtaking the manufacturing industry is necessitating small businesses to make the transition required for the innovation revolution. This includes suppliers making the transition from the internal combustion engine to the electric motor.
