The UHY 2024 Not-for-Profit Survey was created to assess the state of the industry as economic and societal trends continue to challenge organizations in all sectors. We sought input from participants in various positions within the industry on financial matters, technology utilization, talent challenges, and more to provide an industry benchmark for not-for-profit organizations. Through our analysis of the survey data, we identified the following trends:
- Funding levels are not fluctuating significantly year-over-year
- More organizations are considering their potential donors’ societal impacts, sustainability, and political views
- Talent attraction and retention are still key concerns for the industry
- The not-for-profit industry at large is overlooking tax savings opportunities
