Following a rigorous interview and appointment process, Gov. Ned Lamont appointed Principal Stacy Farber to the Connecticut State Board of Accountancy. The State Board of Accountancy, which resides under the Department of Consumer Protection and Commissioner, comprises nine individuals who are a mix of CPAs and public members that are appointed by the governor. They are responsible for overseeing the licensing, continuing education, quality review, examination, regulation and discipline of CPAs in Connecticut.
Farber has over 25 years of experience in accounting and finance, with a background in business consulting and auditing. She is the leads the Connecticut audit practice and the Employee Benefit Plan Center of Excellence for the Northeast Region. Farber also serves as the Chairperson for the Employee Benefit Plan Committee of the Connecticut Society of CPAs and is a member of their Advisory Council.
