UHY LLP is thrilled to announce the appointment of Consulting Senior Manager Claire Collins to the National Association of Rural Counties (NACo)’s Rural Action Caucus (RAC). At the direction of NACo president Mary Jo McGuire, Collins was recently selected for membership in the RAC, an organizational wing that tackles solutions for federal, state, and local matters across rural America.
The RAC represents the nearly 70 percent of America’s counties that are rural with members advocating for rural community interest in Washington, DC and collaborating alongside county officials to enhance economic development.
Collins, who was promoted earlier this year to Consulting Sr. Manager, has over 30 years of hands-on professional experience in the private, nonprofit, and public sectors. Her skills and experience include executive-level program and project management and policy development, analysis and implementation, grants administration and coordination, and federal, state, and local government service delivery.
“It is a tremendous honor to join NACo’s Rural Action Caucus, and I am thrilled to receive this appointment from President McGuire,” said Collins. “We have vital work ahead of us to address the needs of America’s rural counties, and I am eager to collaborate alongside fellow caucus members and bring solutions to action.”
“Claire is a star at our firm, and NACo is lucky to have her expertise and talented leadership,” said Harold Mohn, UHY’s Mid-Atlantic Regional Managing Partner. “We are confident that her insights and expertise will contribute significantly to the caucus's objectives."
Since 2020, Collins has advised state and local government clients as a subject matter expert on critical economic legislation, including CARES and ARPA. Her appointment to RAC membership within NACo stands to bolster her industry expertise.
