UHY announced today its continued national expansion with the addition of Merki & Associates, a full-service accounting and tax firm that has served the needs of clients in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for more than 25 years. The transaction marks the tenth strategic combination UHY has made with like-minded firms this year.
The combination marks another milestone in UHY's national growth strategy and builds on its continued expansion in Texas, including the September combination with the Corpus Christi-based CPA firm Adamson & Company. UHY now has six offices in the state.
Merki & Associates has built a strong reputation for combining technical excellence with a deep focus on the needs of small businesses. The firm focuses on helping business owners with Client Accounting Services, tax preparation, new business formation, and business accounting. In addition, Merki’s team of advisors helps individuals with tax planning and estate and trust preparation.
The combination will integrate Merki & Associates into UHY's national footprint, adding the firm’s industry specialists and broad range of advisory capabilities to Merki’s existing client offerings. In addition, UHY’s national wealth management practice will help meet the needs of individual high-net-worth clients across the region.
