Background
Robert Potter has more than twenty-five years of experience providing financial, tax, and business consulting services to business owners that help improve profits, minimize taxes, and preserve wealth. Bob is a leader of the Tax Department and also the leader of the firm’s National Franchise Practice. He joined the firm in 1988.
Bob applies practical knowledge drawn from his prior position as a CFO of a large manufacturing company and provides strategic business plans and assistance in mergers and acquisitions and operational and financial due diligence for middle-market companies. He advises franchise owners on improving operating efficiencies, integrating financial reporting of multiple sites, improving financing terms and business structuring, and helps clients with tax strategies for succession planning and future growth. In addition, he handles IRS managing tax audits and abatement requests.
Bob is a regular speaker on corporate tax topics such as merger and acquisition, entity structuring, IRS auditing and abatements, and retirement and estate planning.
