Background
Jacob Katz, is a leader in the Valuations Group in the metropolitan Detroit area. During his time at UHY, Jacob has valued hundreds of private companies for various purposes, including estate and gift, management planning, transition advisory, litigation purposes, and process improvement. Jacob also manages a number of buy and sell-side transactions on behalf of clients, shepherding them through the process from initial assessment to LOI, and closing.
His practice also includes valuation of securities, tangible assets, and intangible assets for transaction, tax, financial reporting, and other strategic purposes. Jacob is also an expert in investment management and portfolio review with a decade and a half of experience in asset management prior to his time at UHY. Jacob holds a Bachelors of Arts in International Relations from Michigan State University and both a Masters of Business Administration and a Masters of Finance from Walsh College. He is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA).
He presents regularly at both industry and internal events, and is an adjunct professor of finance at Walsh College.
