Patrick Rohrkaste | Partner | UHY LLP
For more than thirty-nine years, Pat Rohrkaste has cultivated a reputation as a practical and flexible resource for clients and business colleagues both inside and outside the firm. Pat assists nonprofits in presentations of financial statements to improve and enhance efforts to secure funding, as well as cost allocations to improve costs of programming versus supporting services. He has improved financial controls to strengthen financial reporting; consulted on corporate structure and improved allocation of costs; given general presentations to board committees on governance, financial transparency, and accountability; and consulted on merger of nonprofits with analysis of transitional audit and tax reporting issues.
Pat is a frequent speaker and author of articles addressing NFP issues, including accounting, auditing, tax, finance and fundraiser/development. He is Co-Chair of UHY’s Not-For-Profit & Education Industry and is passionate and committed to sharing his expertise, time, treasure, and talents impacting not-for-profits in the St. Louis community
Brian Kearns | Partner | UHY LLP
Brian Kearns is one of the national Not-for-Profit Practice leaders and manages significant audit engagements for governmental and not-for-profit entities. He’s well-versed in meeting client reporting requirements including: conducting and preparing financial statements; audit planning, including determination of fraud risk, materiality; evaluating, documenting and testing of the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls; completing required client communications; compiling financial statements and related footnotes from client information; and providing technical advice, business advice and other recommendations.
Marlene Beach | Partner | UHY LLP
Marlene Beach is a member of the Audit and Assurance Department and the firm’s National Not-for-Profit Practice, where she plays a key role in developing practices and procedures to improve the delivery of professional services to not-for-profit entities.
Marlene has extensive experience in not-for-profit and governmental accounting and auditing. She provides accounting system evaluations and internal control assessments, and assists in the development and review of policy and procedures and review and evaluation of internal control procedures.
She has authored and administered several successful federal and local grants and is an instructor of governmental auditing seminars for the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) and has published numerous articles.
Nancy Johnson | Partner | UHY LLP
Nancy Johnson specializes in providing audit and assurance services to not-for-profit organizations and qualified employee benefit plans. She is the leader of the UHY Mid-Atlantic’s not-for-profit group.
Nancy has more than twenty-nine years of experience in not-for-profit assurance, specializing in trade associations, charities, membership organizations, and educational institutions. She conducts financial audits, reviews, and compilations. Her specific experience with not-for-profit entities includes financial audits plus audits in accordance with Government Auditing Standards and Single Audits under OMB Uniform Guidance and Presentations to Audit Committees and Board of Directors.
