He specializes in providing opinions to U.S. and international corporations for transaction, tax, financial reporting and dispute purposes. John advises chief financial and accounting officers, tax executives, boards of directors and legal counsel, and provides opinions on value.
He has successfully advised large corporations and privately owned companies on evaluating strategic alternatives including assessing the viability of a potential public offering, management buyouts and sale of entire companies or divestitures of non-strategic subsidiaries. In addition, John has provided valuations and fairness opinions for mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, leveraged buyouts, global reorganizations and going-private transactions. He also is a recognized expert on valuation matters in litigation, bankruptcy, and shareholder dispute matters. John served as an arbitrator to resolve in excess of $50M in disputed claims.
John is a licensed CPA in the state of New York. He earned his B.S. in Accounting from St. Francis College. His certifications also include Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), Certified in Entity and Intangible Valuations (CEIV), Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), and is qualified as a General Securities Representative and as a General Securities Principal (SIE, Series 7, 24, 63, 65, 79, 99).
