MARC LICHTMAN

Marc Lichtman is the Managing Partner of UHY LLP and a member of the firm’s Management Committee that oversees the Audit and Assurance Practice and National Office. The UHY LLP National Office establishes policy and direction for the Audit and Assurance Practice and provides oversight and monitoring. This oversight includes the firm’s SEC and Broker-Dealer Practices. Marc also is the firm’s National Director of SEC and PCAOB Matters and the leader of the Audit and Assurance Practice for the Great Lakes region.

Marc provides audit and business advisory services for clients ranging from private, entrepreneurial startups to public, multinational clients. He has extensive experience assisting companies with public offerings, SEC reporting, mergers and acquisitions, and accounting for complex transactions. He provides technical guidance on accounting and auditing matters with significant knowledge of accounting for business combinations, share-based compensation, complex debt and equity transactions, income taxes, and revenue recognition.

His audit expertise has been a critical component of the National Cannabis Practice. He leads a team providing a wide range of cannabis accounting services such as audits and reviews of financial statements and annual financial statements required by the Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency.

Marc has a strong, working knowledge of internal control under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, including having been responsible for the planning, execution, and monitoring of internal control over financial reporting at a public company. He was an audit partner with Arthur Andersen LLP for thirteen years, and he has also served as Chief Financial Officer of a public, US multinational corporation operating in thirteen countries.
