Northeast Region Adds Eight to Leadership with Largest Female Class

UHY Advisors, Inc. (“UHY Advisors”), one of the nation’s leading professional services firms, announced the appointment of twelve new managing directors nationwide, with five new managing directors joining the Northeast region leadership: Amy Bloom, Brian Kearns, Crystal Li, Jeanine Marino, and Scott Norris. This year featured the firm's largest national class of female managing directors, including Jenna Lamb and Loni Winkler in the Great Lakes and Gina James in the Midwest.

UHY Northeast also promoted an additional 45 employees across the tax, audit, and valuation practices, including three principals: Tina Steinbeck, Nick Theos, and Mike Vizzie.

Amy Bloom is a managing director and is actively involved in the leadership of the NYC Tax Department. She has extensive experience providing tax planning and compliance services for business entities. Bloom also advises on state nexus, foreign structuring in the US, and tax due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.

Brian Kearns is a managing director. As a leader of the national not-for-profit and government practices, he manages significant audit engagements in both spaces and serves as a trusted resource across the practice. He is also well-versed in performing Single Audits under the Uniform Guidance.

Crystal Li is a managing director. As a leader of the China Group, she has an in-depth understanding of the differences in business operations between China and the U.S. and a strong ability to resolve complex technical accounting issues with a practical approach that balances business operations and compliance requirements. Additionally, Li heads UHY’s California office. She has also been instrumental in the growth of the SPAC support services practice that has emerged in recent years.

Jeanine Marino is a managing director with over 12 years of experience at UHY performing audits, reviews, compilations, and transaction services for many industries, with a concentration in both buy-side and sell-side due diligences. Marino serves as a resource throughout the transaction process and continues to service her clients post close. In 2021, she was recognized as one of the “Top 50 Women in Business” by the Long Island Business News and named a “2021 Emerging Leader” by the M&A Advisor.

Scott Norris is a managing director with extensive experience in both advisory and audit and assurance capacities. He provides advisory services focusing on technical accounting and financial reporting related to IPO’s, SPAC transactions, SEC filings, business combinations, and other complex transactions. Norris also has performed audits of multinational companies as well as private equity backed entities in accordance with PCAOB and AICPA standards, SEC rules and regulations, US GAAP, and GAGAS. He is frequently quoted in industry publications and is a former Long Island Business News “40 Under 40” Winner.

Tina Steinbeck is a principal with more than 30 years of diversified accounting experience in tax research, planning and compliance. She is well-versed in providing tax services for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and partnerships. Steinbeck also advises with not-for-profit organizations and closely held businesses on their tax planning and compliance strategies.

Nick Theos is a principal with a decade of experience in the firm’s assurance, advisory, and consulting practices. He serves a diversified group of publicly traded and privately held companies, specializing in the technology, manufacturing, private equity, and financial services. Theos has extensive experience performing audits and reviews and is well versed in the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission reporting requirements. He also provides buy side and sell side advisory services for a full range of transactions. He was named a 2021 "Business & Finance Professional" honoree by Long Island Business News.

Mike Vizzie is a principal with over 30 years of experience, in providing tax planning and compliance for individuals and corporations. Vizzie specializes in corporate and individual taxation, pass-through entities, tax planning and compliance, and business consulting. He has expertise in corporate retirement plans, ERISA compliance and employee benefit plans.
