GEORGE CRANE

George Crane has more than twenty-five years of financial consulting experience and an unparalleled track record of providing clients with solutions to their various complex valuation challenges and needs.

George specializes in valuations of closely held securities for buyouts, recapitalizations, and federal estate and gift tax purposes; of financing, bankruptcy, and of portfolio companies for private equity investors; of healthcare practices, high-technology firms, and startup entities; and for use in disputes and for litigation support purposes. He performs mergers and acquisitions related appraisals of business enterprises and their underlying intangible assets (including patents, trademarks, software, customer lists, goodwill) for income tax, GAAP, and IFRS compliance purposes, and transaction-related services, including solvency and fairness opinions.

Prior to joining UHY Advisors, George was Principal of Crane & O’Malley Associates, a Business Valuation firm he founded in June 2010. George also served as a Valuation Practice Leader for with McGladrey in addition to holding senior level management positions with Management Planning, Inc. and Marshal & Stevens Inc.

George is a Senior Member of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) designated in Business Valuation. He is also an accredited (IA) Intangible Asset Valuation Specialist. Nationally, there are less than sixty-five individuals who have successfully met the experience, testing, and peer review requirements established by the ASA to achieve this credential.
